About
A River of News answers one question: what just came in?
It is a plain list of news headlines from many publishers, newest first, grouped by day and stamped with the time. You can filter by category. You can jump to a date and hour. You can follow a category by RSS or JSON Feed.
How to use it
- Read down the list. Click a headline to go to the publisher.
- Use the category links at the top, or press a number key. Press
0for everything. - Search headlines with the box at the top, or press
/. Results are newest first and cover the archive back to 2026-09-06. - Follow an author, a publication, a keyword or a search with the Follow button. Your following page merges them. The list stays in your browser.
- Read the daily digest, see which publications report first, or show headlines on your own site with the embed or the API.
- Click an author's name to see every article we hold from them, or browse authors.
- Press
jandkto move between rows andoto open the one you are on. - When new items arrive a small button appears at the top. Click it to add them. The page never moves on its own.
- If you have visited before, a line marks where you left off.
- Every day with data has a permanent page with a few key facts and the full list by category. See the archive.
